For definitions and politically correct thoughts or objectiveness, please search for another text, like the ones presented in DATA] First of all I would like to define political correctness - not for the people who invented it or stand by it - but for me. Political correctness refers to the modern form of censorship (verbal and mental) that constantly poisons our conscience. Two words that define the way we talk. Two words that are defined by each authority and ruling class. Because of the fact that political correctness is usually referred to sensitive issues (that make us feel guilty), it has been able to be widely accepted. Personally, I can distinguish three important cases of word changing from normal to political correct. First of all, there are the words with which governments are trying to hide their crimes such as "massive murder" changing into "area depopulation" and "neutralize" or "soldiers" into "freedom fighters". Secondly, with words such as "physically challenged" for "cripple" or "homosexual" for "lesbian", the society is paying attention to protect people that is already treating differently. Lastly, words that the authorities and mass media use to blame specific groups of people that are against them like "terrorists" in stead of "anarchists" and "commandos" for "israeli murderers". In addition to all this words, there are those that are considered vulgar and thus there is another one (or nothing) official to replace them. All these words are been judged every day by the same people that judge their meanings. It is more than concerning the fact that changing and redefining some words is considered respectful and protective. A complete hypocrisy. But the least of our problems is the political disguisement and dissimulation of the events. It is considered de facto and there are political and other ways to fight against it. The most contemning thing for the human being is the hidden racism and prejudice that is represented as the easy savior. And the worst part of it is the fact that both the target group of political correctness and the rest of the society are relying on the correct use of the words and forget about the real thing. Absolute equality. Of course religion, politicians and non-governmental organizations that defend political correctness know how to guide people towards their interest better than anyone. The rest of us don' t have to do anything else. We have put in charge other people to fight for us. In conclusion, I need to say that I imagine a society where you can make fun of your crippled friend in the same way you do with your short friend (or even better yourself). But this society - utopia seems futuristic because it requires firstly serious social and political changes. Instead, I seek to kill political correctness and all its forms in order to be able to exceed the meaning of the words and be focused on the acts. They will create multiple words that try to change the meanings which remain diachronic and necessary. And this applies to all the other occasions. After all, even if you call me an asshole, it does not mean that I immediately become one.
